God sustains man for 11 days!!

Amongst many people passionately praying for 12 hours at a time and a desperate seeking of God's face, a man was rescued after eleven days amongst building debris and rubble.

Haitians' Driven to Jesus!

Amongst rubble, amongst injuries, and amongst death, the Haitian people have begun to show a light that can not be ignored. People all over are turning to Jesus. And while the church pews may be filled a little less because of the death and destruction, their faith does not stop inside the church. Everywhere, you can find people from early morning to late in the evening, praying, singing and exhorting God.

Is Persecution Encouraging?

One could argue that persecution is not encouraging. And certainly, there is a lot to be said for this view. But it is my belief, just as it was for the apostles, that persecution can be encouraging. In fact, I believe that persecution not only is coming, but will strengthen the church, or will be the thing that begins to sift the chaff from the wheat, that Jesus' 2nd coming might be welcomed by a refined church.

A couple in the U.K., along with others, are currently being prosecuted for standing up for their belief that Jesus is the son of God.

Prayer Avails Much!

News stories have abounded with the death, destruction, and dismemberment of the people of Hiati. Yet, there is one story that truly is an Encouraging story. A woman, rescued from the rubble of a building, gives God the credit for her rescue by stating, "I knew I'ld be saved...I never stopped praying." To see the video click here.

Google Rules!

It appears that Google really MAY be taking over the world! In a recent Forbes article, (November 2009), the 61 most powerful people in the world were listed. Google founders Sergey Brin & Larry Page are number five on the list, following four others, all of which are either world leaders or are the chairman for the Federal Reserve of the United States of America. But do not let just this tidbit show you how powerful Google has become! Now they are shaping public policy!

In a recent world news, Google has made headlines, saying that they will withdrawal from China if they do not allow for uncensored search results. Should Google win this battle, they will have effectively changed the censorship of an entire country. If they fail, they will remove their search engine out of China, and will still have effectively drawn public attention to censorship and will have helped shape public opinion one way or another.

As far as this author is aware of, this is the first time an internet based company has had the power to threaten an entire country. This indeed is a sign of this giant's power and authority. I was tempted to tell you to Google the news story to read more, but instead I'll provide a direct link;

Bible Park Construction Halted

Yes, there were plans for the construction of what is called a Bible Park in Tennessee. And yet, opponents have managed to halt the project altogether by causing political infighting to halt the process.

Despite thousands of jobs that could be created and an estimated 5.3 million in tax revenues that would be brought into the county, there is still turmoil over this project. And yet, this is not the first attempt at this same Bible Park being built.

The original site for building this park was Rutherford County, yet Rutherford refused to allow the Bible Park to build. It appears, above all else, that the Bible is out of favor in the public's eye. For, if thousands of jobs and millions of dollars could be gained in a down-turned economic environment and there is still strong opposition, it is perhaps safe to assume, that people would prefer to not provide jobs for their community rather than to allow a project like this to be built.

Should we not then consider why there is so much controversy over this building?

Is it because the Bible is out of favor? Is it because we should strive to be PC? Let us know what you think!
